| 한글내용요약 | 본 표준은 종합 유선 방송 설비에 접속되는 가입자 단말 장치의 하향 채널의 입출력
특성과 ATM 셀 구조를 갖는 상향 채널의 변조 방식, 출력 레벨, 출력 임피던스, 반사 손 실 그리고 스퓨리어스 등을 시험하기 위한 구체적인 방법을 기술하고 각 시험 절차에서 고려되어야 하는 사항 등을 다룬다. 단, IP 패킷 구조의 상향 채널을 갖는 종합 유선 방 송 설비에 접속되는 데이터 통신용 단말 장치에 대한 구체적인 시험 절차 및 성능 기준 등의 세부 사항은 부록 I의 [3]을 준용한다. 또한 CableCARD를 사용하지 않는 가입자 단말 장치에 대한 제한 수신 기능을 시험하 기 위하여 부록 I의 [4]의 표준 규격을 준수하는 적합성 평가 시험 방법과 절차를 제공 한다. 단, 본 표준에서는 CableCARD를 사용하는 단말 장치의 제한 수신 기능에 대한 시 험 방법은 제공하지 않는다. |

| 영문내용요약 | This standard specifies detailed test methods and considerations in each test
procedure for terminal equipment connected to CATV facility to test input and output characteristic of downstream, modulation method, output level, output impedance, return loss and spurious of upstream channel having an ATM sell structure. But the concrete test procedures and performance criteria of upstream channel with IP packet structure for data communication terminal equipment connected to CATV facility is referred to [3] in Appendix I. Also, in this standard, in order to test conditional access function of terminal equipment not adopting CableCARD, this standard presents test methods and procedures for confirmity assessment of terminal equipment which complied with [4] in Appendix I. But this standard dose not deal with the test methods for conditional access function of terminal equipment not using CableCARD. |
